24 // Training Camp Winner – Katelyn

Introducing Katelyn, our 24 // Training Camp Female Winner.

At just 27, Katelyn is the definition of discipline, consistency, and showing up for yourself, even when it’s hard.

Working full-time as a Senior Registered Nurse, her days are demanding, structured, and often high-pressure. But that hasn’t stopped her from committing to her health in a big way.

Katelyn lives with her partner of four years (and their cat!) and stays closely connected to her family – especially her dad, who not only trains alongside her at UBX but was also the one who encouraged her to join.

And when we say commitment… we mean it.

Katelyn is an early-morning regular, up at 4am Monday to Friday to make it to her 5:30am sessions – with a “sleep in” on Saturdays, waking at 6am for a 7am workout.

Here is Katelyn’s transformation from Training Camp:

Finding Her Spark at UBX

Although Katelyn had previous experience training at a commercial gym, something was missing.

“I found I was lacking motivation to complete cardio when training on my own.”

That all changed when she rejoined UBX in February 2025 (after previously attending 12 Round).

“Coming to UBX with my dad was the best decision I’ve made.”

The structure, support, and community gave her the consistency she had been searching for – and the perfect environment to push herself further.

Turning It Up for Training Camp

Katelyn was already consistent before Training Camp – but when the 6-week challenge began, she took things to another level.

Training a minimum of 5 days per week, every session started before sunrise. But it wasn’t just about showing up, it was about how she showed up.

“I pushed every set and rep to failure, reached a minimum of 150 MEPS per workout, and aimed for at least 15,000 steps every day.”

She also committed to following the principles of 75 Hard throughout the challenge, which meant:

  • No alcohol
  • Two 45-minute workouts per day
  • No eating out
  • A strict whole-food diet
  • Daily reading

It was a complete lifestyle shift, and it paid off.

Dialling in Nutrition

Consistency carried over into her nutrition too.

Katelyn and her partner meal prep every week “like clockwork,” but during Training Camp, she became even more focused and intentional.

Her approach:

  • High-protein, high-fibre meals
  • Strictly whole foods
  • Gluten-free (due to intolerance)
  • No eating out

She also supported her training with daily supplementation, including creatine, whey protein isolate, magnesium, vitamin D, and a pre-workout.

This level of structure helped fuel her performance, and her results.

Hitting Another Gear

Around week three, something shifted.

“I reached another gear in my training, I was able to push myself harder and became stronger for it.”

Combined with her strict sleep routine and early training schedule, Katelyn noticed a huge difference in her energy levels throughout the day.

“I feel amazing. I train first thing in the morning and carry that energy with me all day.”

What’s Next?

Katelyn isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Her short-term goal? 10 unassisted chin-ups (she’s already hit 5 – after working for 6 months to get there!)

And long-term:

  • Maintain under 15% body fat
  • Increase lean muscle mass
  • Travel the world

Katelyn’s Advice

“It’s not easy, but it is simple.”

“You have to commit to the version of yourself that is stronger, healthier and happier – because you deserve to see it.”
