Introducing Rachelle, our 21 // Training Camp Female Winner.

Rachelle is a busy mum of two energetic boys, Rory (4) and Leo (18 months), who keep her on her toes. Between managing the chaos of motherhood, working part-time as an assistant manager and events coordinator at a local pub, and planning her wedding with her fiancé of nearly 9 years, Rachelle has a full plate. But since joining UBX Langwarrin in July, she’s found a new way to prioritise herself.

Despite being a relatively new member, Rachelle says she already feels like part of the family. With the unwavering support of her coaches: Cass and Levi, who go above and beyond to keep members motivated, she’s discovered a place where fitness feels fun and fulfilling. “They genuinely care about you and your goals,” Rachelle shares. For her, UBX isn’t just a gym—it’s a community that makes showing up worth it every time.

Here is Rachelle’s transformation from Training Camp:

TRAINING

What was your approach to the Training?

“My goal was to train 4 times a week. I think there were two weeks where I made it only 3 times, but I made sure I still got active minutes done at home. Whether that be a light walk, or a jog, just getting myself moving consistently was the priority.”

NUTRITION

What was your approach to the nutrition aspect of the challenge?

“ I used “My Fitness Pal” for the first time during this Training Camp, and it was so eye opening to what fuel I was actually putting into my body. Hitting my protein targets was definitely something I focused on, some days were harder than others, but making small changes here and there made a huge difference overall. I also found that making sure my macros were proportionate each day helped me stay fuller for longer, and I wasn’t reaching for those quick sugary snacks as a pick me up. The supplements I used were the True WPI protein, as well as a pre-workout, and creatine.”

MINDSET

How are you feeling post-Training Camp?

“I’m feeling great post-Training Camp. My clothes are fitting so much better, I have more energy to last the long days at work, and then I’m still keep up with the kids when I get home. I also have noticed I’m definitely stronger in the gym, the boxing rounds are feeling more powerful, and I’m enjoying lifting the heavier weights!

What are your short and long-term goals now?

Short-term goal would be to increase my overall cardio fitness, I’d like to start going on small jog warm-ups before I start my UBX rounds. Long-term goal would be to compete in some fitness events, such as fun runs, marathons etc.”

ADVICE

What advice do you have for other members taking on the Training Camp – 6 week challenge?

“Sometimes I think as mothers, we tend to put everyone else’s needs before our own. But I can honestly say, putting myself first and making my fitness a priority was one of the best decisions I’ve made for our family. I’m happier, healthier, and excited for what’s to come. Don’t hold back committing to yourself on your fitness journey, just be brave enough to make a start!”
